PACSS Subaward Announcement

Advocates for Human Potential (AHP) is pleased to announce the 4 organizations that have been awarded Public Awareness Campaigns on Substance Use and Supports (PACSS) funding. A total of $9,000,000 is anticipated to be awarded over a period of 3 years. These organizations will develop and implement educational campaigns that align with Public Act 101-0027 Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act requirements, paying special attention to individuals who are at highest risk of substance use and communities disproportionately impacted by the war on drugs.

Chicago Recovering Communities Coalition (CRCC)

CRCC is a non-profit organization providing recovery support services to individuals in or seeking recovery. This peer-driven and peer-led recovery support organization educates and reduces stigma associated with addiction while giving back to the community and building relationships with diverse populations.

Family Service and Mental Health Center of Cicero

Family Service and Mental Health Center of Cicero, also known as Cicero Family Service, provides mental health care for individuals, couples, and families in Cicero, Illinois. Their team of clinicians offer a variety of interactive and solutions-focused treatment modalities tailored to the needs of each client.

Illinois Alcoholism and Drug Dependence Association (IABH)

IABH advocates for sound public policies in the behavioral health field on behalf of clinicians, consumers, youth, families, and individuals in recovery. IABH accomplishes this through strategic advocacy efforts, comprehensive media campaigns, community forums and engagement, and more.

Young Men’s Christian Association of Chicago

The Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) of Chicago is a social enterprise that provides health and fitness, recreational, educational, and community services programming to help its members achieve their full health potential. It coordinates services at 14 centers, five camps, and nearly 100 extension sites.
