Program Highlight: PACSS

PACSS was designed to fulfill the public education requirement of the Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act (Public Act 101-0027). Since fall 2024, the four PACSS subrecipients have increased awareness of substance use, as well as the availability of support services for individuals at risk of misuse.

Subrecipient Highlight: TASC

Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities, Inc. (TASC) was selected to serve as the Intramuscular Naloxone Distribution Hub (IMNH) in June 2024. Read more about what they have accomplished this year.

The Community Outreach and Recovery Support (CORS) program is making a difference in Illinois for individuals who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability.

CORS subrecipients, such as Haymarket Center, are engaging the community through their consistent presence and providing a safe atmosphere.

CORS: Building Partnerships

CORS: Conducting Outreach

Chicago’s Serenity House and Rosecrance, Inc., two CORS subrecipients, are forming partnerships with local organizations and serving community members to conduct outreach.

Remedies Renewing Lives (Remedies) is a 501(c)(3) organization committed to renewing the lives of individuals affected by addiction, mental health issues, and domestic violence. Remedies is certainly renewing lives for individuals in the START Program. Read more.
